This Privacy Policy explains how SBD Lab, LLC (“SBD Lab,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, apps, and related services (the “Service”), including topikpractice.com.

1) Information We Collect

A) Information you provide

  • Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, and (if provided) name/profile information.
  • User Content: inputs you submit (e.g., exam attempts, answers, feedback messages).
  • Support communications: information you include when you email us (including refund and deletion requests).

B) Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data: pages/screens viewed, events, approximate location (derived from IP), device/browser information, and performance data.
  • Cookies and similar technologies:
    • Essential cookies for authentication/session management.
    • Analytics cookies used by Google Analytics (as configured).

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and help the Service function. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used and to improve it; Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar technologies. C) Payment information

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We generally do not store full payment card details. Stripe may collect and process payment information on our behalf.

2) How We Use Information

  • Provide and operate the Service (including authentication, saving exam attempts/results, and user support).
  • Process payments and handle refund requests.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g., account-related messages, receipts/confirmations, service notifications).
  • Send marketing emails where permitted by law; you can opt out at any time.
  • Monitor reliability, debug issues, and prevent abuse/fraud (e.g., using Sentry and logs).
  • Analyze and improve the Service (e.g., using Google Analytics).

3) How We Share Information

We share information:

  • With service providers that help us run the Service, including Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Sentry, Google Analytics, and Railway.
  • For legal reasons, if required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights, safety, and security.
  • In connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition, or asset sale), subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of “sell.”

4) Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (e.g., security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance). You may request deletion as described below.

5) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Cookies: You can control cookies through browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
  • Account/data deletion (email only): You can request account and associated data deletion by emailing info@sbdlab.co. We may need to verify your request.

7) United States Only

The Service is intended for users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.

8) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us personal information, contact info@sbdlab.co and we will take steps to delete it.

9) US Privacy Rights (Summary)
